[Thanhnien.vn] — The partnership between two leading pearl cultivation companies from Japan and Vietnam marks a significant milestone for Vietnam’s jewelry and pearl industry. This collaboration is set to enhance Vietnam’s pearl cultivation and craftsmanship capabilities while connecting the country to the global market.

Mr. Tomokazu Tanabe, representing Tanabe Pearl Farm, and Mr. Hồ Thanh Tuấn, representing Hoàng Gia Pearl, formalized the agreement at a press conference.

On the afternoon of March 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, a press conference was held to announce a cooperation agreement on advanced pearl cultivation technology between Hoàng Gia Pearl Joint-Stock Company (Vietnam) and Tanabe Pearl Farm (Japan). The event attracted considerable attention, with participation from industry professionals, jewelry experts, representatives from Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism, WLIN Global, the HCMC Design Association, and the Women Entrepreneurs Knowledge Club of HCMC.

Distinguished guests joined for a commemorative photo at the event.

After five years of negotiations and multiple on-site trials in Vietnam’s pearl farming environments, Tanabe Pearl Farm decided to invest and transfer state-of-the-art machinery and technology to Hoàng Gia Pearl for advanced pearl cultivation. Beyond technology transfer, both companies plan to establish a long-term, sustainable joint venture. The partnership will expand operations, bringing Tanabe Pearl Farm’s natural pearl coloring techniques from Japan to Vietnam.

In addition, Hoàng Gia Pearl will apply and develop its proprietary method for creating naturally patterned pearls, aiming to scale this innovation for the international market.
